Castro & Monica Mayatula Foundation

Governance & Leadership

Accountability, sound governance and people-centred service.

Responsible leadership, transparent stewardship

The Foundation is overseen by a Board of Directors that provides strategic direction and oversight. Our executive leadership and programme staff translate that mandate into education, advocacy and community initiatives.

Published governance reference: The 2024/25 Integrated Annual Report identifies Ms Penelope B. Tyawa as Board Chairperson and Ms Nandi N. Mayathula-Khoza as Executive Director. The same report lists Mr M. Duma, Ms A. Phatudi, Rev Dr F. Chikane, Mr D. Ramaphosa, Mr T. Khunou and the late Ambassador S. Moloi among its board members for that reporting period. Names and roles should be confirmed before presenting a current-year governance roster.
